We thank you for your interest in helping us to maintain our post. While our members continually volunteer their time to do cleaning, exterior landscaping and painting, the post recently used its own resources to pay for expensive repairs to our roof, as well as panic bars on our interior doors. We would like to stress that the post facility is safe, clean, and up to code. The changes that we would like to make are efforts to modernize, update and improve our facility, and are simply beyond our resources to do so. While we used to wear green uniforms during our time in service, we are now looking to “go green” as much as possible. We would like to invest in energy efficient fixtures and appliances, low water volume toilets, an energy efficient stove and dishwasher, as well as ceiling and floor tiles.

We are looking for donations of money, materials, services, or time. All donations are tax deductible.

Post 5702 was chartered in 1963, and has a long history of serving the communities of Oakland and Franklin Lakes. As the pictures below document, we need to replace ceiling and floor tiles throughout our building. We are looking for donations of tiles and adhesive or the money to purchase them. Years of use have also left their mark(s) on the walls of our great hall. We are looking for donations of stain and supplies, or the donations of money to purchase those materials.
