RAMAPO AND INDIAN HILLS
STUDENTS RECEIVE VOICE OF
DEMOCRACY AWARDS
The Voice of Democracy (VOD) scholarship program is an audio-essay contest for high school students in grades 9-12. Pictured below are the six winners from Indian Hills and Ramapo High Schools whose essays won a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in the essay contest sponsored annually by VFW Post 5702.
We are grateful to Mr. Del Buono and Mr. Bitten for their assistance in helping make this essay contest a success. Post 5702 is proud to continue to sponsor this essay contest in both high schools in its service area (Oakland and Franklin Lakes).
VFW Post 5702 Advocate Dominic Stimola administers the Voice of Democracy program, and presented the awards at a January 2010 Board of Education meeting.
Congratulations! |
